There was a two-vehicle crash in Middlesex County near Saluda Courthouse which resulted in one-fatality and several injuries.
Virginia State Police report the crash occurred around 4 o’clock Monday afternoon on Route 33/General Puller Highway when a 2014 Kia Soul operated by 64 year-old Allan Wayne Cash of Topping crossed the center-line striking a 2017 Ford Transit Van head on.
Cash’s front seat passenger died at the scene and Cash along with his rear seat passenger were transported to Walter Reed Hospital.
The driver of the Ford Transit Van, Sherry Rena Green-Henry of Jarvis Point Road of Kilmarnock and an 11 year old passenger were also transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
VDOT reported that traffic was detoured around the crash scene for about 3 hours.
