A father and son drag-racing incident Tuesday in Stafford County resulted in a crash that knocked down a utility pole and left about 2,000 residents without power for hours, police said.
The 45-year-old father was charged with racing, child neglect, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, obstruction of justice and hit and run. He was placed in the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.
