President Donald Trump’s call for dramatic reform of FEMA is on a fast track but won’t affect current preparations for this year’s hurricane season, said Gov. Glenn Youngkin, who serves on the panel that will recommend ways to transform the agency.
Speaking Friday at an event to mark the start of hurricane season, Youngkin said he expects big changes in FEMA after the review panel reports its recommendations. The panel’s deadline is mid-November, as hurricane season is winding down.
