The $1.1 billion tax relief package that the Virginia House of Delegates and the state Senate approved on Thursday doesn’t look at all like the one that Gov. Glenn Youngkin proposed in December, but legislators will not have many differences to negotiate before beginning budget talks with the governor in his final legislative session.
Revisions to the two-year budget easily passed both chambers of the General Assembly on Thursday — 38-2 in the Senate and 79-18 in the House.
