Sweeping efforts to expand Virginians’ rights when they go to court are on the General Assembly’s agenda this year.
They include a proposal to allow consumers to band together to pursue claims that are usually too small to interest lawyers and a first-ever effort to say what people with intellectual or developmental disabilities tell police can’t be used as evidence against them in most cases.
