UPDATE: Route 607 (Guinea Station Road) has reopened in Caroline County near the intersection with Stonewall Jackson Road. Crews will return to the emergency repair work zone on Wednesday, March 19, to apply fresh asphalt during daytime hours. One-way, alternating traffic will be directed through the work zone by a flagging crew. Overnight, travelers should stay alert for a gravel travel surface in the work zone.

FREDERICKSBURG – Route 607 (Guinea Station Road) in Caroline County is closed to through traffic near the intersection with Route 606 (Stonewall Jackson Road) due to a drainage pipe failure.

A recommended detour is posted:

  • Route 660 (Claiborne Crossing Road)
  • Route 609 (Macedonia Road)
  • Route 606 (Stonewall Jackson Road)

An emergency repair by Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews will be underway starting Tuesday, March 18.
