Citing ongoing harassment and safety concerns, the Hanover County family of an 11-year-old transgender middle schooler has dropped their lawsuit that claimed county school officials discriminated against their daughter who wanted to play on a school tennis team.
The child, known as “Janie Doe” to maintain her privacy, and her family dropped their suit in mid-November after moving to another school division.
