The Virginia House of Delegates on Wednesday passed a proposed constitutional amendment that would let state legislators redraw Virginia’s Congressional districts if another state does so first.
The measure passed on a 51-42 party-line vote, with Democrats voting in support. The measure now heads to the state Senate, where Democrats hope to approve it Friday.
