A last-ditch effort to derail a trial that could uncover the independent, external review of the 2022 shooting that claimed three University of Virginia students’ lives was rejected in Albemarle County court Thursday.
Attorneys for alleged murderer Christopher Darnell Jones Jr. and the Albemarle County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office filed a joint motion that would have precluded the release of the report to the public, which is set to be determined in court Friday.
