In 2023, three James Madison University students were killed in a single-car crash on a two-lane country road in West Virginia as they returned to campus from a strip club.

The father of one of the victims has filed a wrongful death lawsuit, saying the wreck was the result of a fraternity’s hazing, excessive drinking and drug use. The suit, entered this month in Henrico County Circuit Court, asks for $150 million.
