Rappahannock Community College’s Educational Foundation invites you to the 21st Annual Preakness Party on Saturday, May 17, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Millmont in Wake, Middlesex County.

The event is a key fundraiser supporting scholarships and this year also supports the construction of RCC’s new Health Science Building at its Warsaw campus. This state-of-the-art facility will expand healthcare training and education, helping more students enter the region’s healthcare workforce.

Guests will enjoy gourmet hors d’oeuvres from 1710 Tavern, Indian Creek Yacht & Country Club, Java Jacks Café, Prince Street Café, RCC Culinary Arts, and Something Different. Drinks will include regional wines from General’s Ridge Vineyard, Good Luck Cellars, Ingleside Vineyards, and Winebow, along with cocktails, beer, and non-alcoholic options.

The evening features live and silent auctions with exclusive experiences and treasures, plus the popular Best Hat & Most Dapper contests. The event concludes with the Preakness Stakes broadcast on big screens under the tent.

The Preakness Party is a highlight of the year—fun, festive, and deeply impactful,” said Dr. Shannon Kennedy, RCC President. “This year’s celebration not only supports scholarships but invites our community to play a part in shaping the future of healthcare in our region.”

Tickets are $100 per guest, with half of each ticket tax-deductible. To purchase, contact the RCC Educational Foundation at 804-333-6707 or visit www.rappahannock.edu/preaknessparty.
