An Olde Greenwich resident who shot one of the alleged participants in Tuesday’s highly publicized shooting in the Spotsylvania County neighborhood will not face charges.
Sheriff’s Maj. Liz Scott said that after hearing “rapid gunfire” in front of his home Tuesday evening, a resident looked out and saw a person in the parking lot wielding a long gun. The resident retrieved his own gun from his home as he told a family member to call 911.
After seeing the suspect shooting, the resident fired his own weapon and struck the shooter. The resident retreated back into his home after a neighbor informed him there were three other gunmen nearby
