Now an update on the hit-and-run incident that occurred on the Norris Bridge in Lancaster County at approximately 6 p.m. on August 1st. State Police say the driver of the truck/camper for this incident has been located.
The truck and camper were inspected by the Virginia State Police and found NOT to be involved with the crash. The driver was interviewed and provided a statement regarding the incident. New information, along with third party witness testimony, have changed this incident from a hit-and-run crash to a two-vehicle crash, with the investigation ongoing and charges pending.
State Police say tips from citizens were very helpful in receiving the information needed to determine the cause of the crash.
