UPDATE Friday, April 12: Both lanes of Route 360 westbound over Piscataway Creek in Essex County reopened this afternoon following repair work. The bridge rail was damaged in a crash on Tuesday, April 9.
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – All Route 360 westbound lanes are closed at the bridge over Piscataway Creek with a crash.
Crews with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) are detouring westbound traffic to the following routes:
- Route 619 (Kino Road)
- Route 618 (Sunnyside Road)
- Route 620 (Dunbrooke Road)
The detour is approximately nine miles.
Heavy duty tow trucks are on scene to remove the vehicles involved then bridge crews can assess the damage and safely inspect the structure.
No reopening time is available.
