Hunters in Virginia reported harvesting 205,759 white-tailed deer, 2,702 black bears and 1,423 wild turkeys during the 2024-25 hunting season.
Officials with the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources said that while the deer, bear and turkey harvests were slightly down, this year was remarkably similar to last year and reflects strong populations of the animals.
