The nurse accused of injuring a newborn at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital did not target victims based on their race, Henrico’s police chief said Tuesday.
Erin Elizabeth Ann Strotman, a former nurse at the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit, was arrested Jan. 2 and charged with malicious wounding and felony child abuse of an infant patient at the hospital. Authorities discovered seven newborns suffered unexplained fractures while in the NICU in 2023 and 2024.
