Virginia could create a Prescription Drug Affordability Board if Gov. Glenn Youngkin signs legislation heading to his desk.
The board would have the authority to review sudden price increases on prescription medicine and set a limit on what pharmaceutical manufacturers can charge people for them. The proposal cleared the Senate last year with bipartisan support before being voted down in a then-GOP-led committee.
