With all of the talk about national and statewide elections, there is a local election going on now.
The Rappahannock Electric Cooperative Director Election process is now open. REC members can complete the Proxy Designation Form online or members can return the form by mail. Three candidates will be elected to the REC Cooperative’s Board of Directors as part of the virtual Annual Meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 7. The deadline to participate is 5 p.m. on July 31. If your preference is to participate in the virtual Annual Meeting, registration opens at 7 a.m. on Aug. 1 and closes at 5 p.m. on Aug. 2. Only registered members will receive instructions to join the virtual Annual Meeting on Aug. 7 to cast their vote live.
