The Richmond metro area is still likely to be impacted by a “major to extreme winter storm” over the weekend, National Weather Service meteorologist Jeff Orrock said Wednesday morning.
But with higher forecasted snowfall totals shifting north, “the forecast for ice, which is sleet and freezing rain, is increasing,” Orrock said.
