Virginia is still facing a teacher shortage this school year with more than 3,600 full-time equivalent vacancies, according to state data released in late December.
For all school positions, which include administrators, teachers, aides, paraprofessionals and non-instructional personnel, Virginia has about 9,000 vacancies this school year.
