BLACKSBURG — A year after police broke up an encampment on the lawn of the Virginia Tech Graduate Life Center and arrested 82 people, protesters returned to the site to show support for Palestine and reiterate their demands of the university.
More than 50 people gathered on the lawn Tuesday evening for the launch of the People’s University, a “sanctuary campus” created by students.
