The Saddlery Foundation will hold a dedication of the Foundation’s Community And Veterans’ Memorial and Terrace on June 26th, at 5:30 p.m. at 171 Main Street in Warsaw.

The Memorial was formed in 2020 with the creation of a brick terrace being filled with personalized bricks of those who have served their community and Armed Forces. Bricks have been laid in memory of loved ones, dating back to the Revolutionary War. The memorial bricks will be for sale ($100.00 per brick).

Since the formation of the brick terrace, a memorial was donated by local citizens in 2024, who wished the memorial to remember those who gave so much of themselves to public service and/or the armed forces.

A distinctive bronze eagle, created by renowned sculptor, David Turner, sits atop an impressive granite monument, both of which were donated by local citizens.

The dedication will be held featuring the Northern Neck Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7167 presenting the colors. Remarks will be heard from local historian, Rusty Brown and music by Whitney Smith Orlando, singing America the Beautiful. Light refreshments will be served; the public is invited.

The Saddlery Foundation was formed from the Friends of the Saddlery who raised funds to move this historic Saddlery building, circa 1835, to its current location in 2018. Since its move, the Saddlery has undergone major renovations, thanks to the Town of Warsaw. The Friends of the Library currently occupy the building.

Rain Date: July 24th
