University of Virginia President Jim Ryan has resigned under pressure from the Trump administration’s Department of Justice.
DOJ officials claim Ryan slow-walked the removal of diversity, equity and inclusion programs at the school and misrepresented the steps UVa has taken to end them after the White House and the university’s governing Board of Visitors explicitly instructed him to do so.
