Key priorities of General Assembly Democrats — and in some cases, at least some Republicans — are on a fast-track path for Gov. Glenn Youngkin‘s action, due Friday.
On Monday, the House moved to the governor’s desk House Bill 175, sponsored by Del. Marcus Simon, D-Fairfax. It would prohibit the carrying of semi-automatic center-fire rifles or shotguns on any public street, road or any other place open to the public. The House passed the measure on a party-line 51-47 vote. It had passed the Senate 21-19.
