RICHMOND – Throughout the summer, Virginia Department of Corrections (VADOC) facilities and probation and parole districts across the Commonwealth have participated in several back-to-school drives, helping children start the new school year off with necessary supplies.

While returning to classes offers a fresh start for many families and children, it can be a financial burden on many families across the Commonwealth,” said VADOC Director Chad Dotson. “I am so proud of our corrections team across Virginia for easing the load on families and students with their generous donations.”
