The Flying Squirrels baseball team said Friday it has “ended discussions” with Virginia Commonwealth University, and the school’s baseball team will not join the Squirrels at CarMax Park.
VCU has not executed contracts for its baseball team to play at the new ballpark or sold Sports Backers Stadium to the city of Richmond, even though the university, city and Flying Squirrels publicly announced agreements to do so in October.
