The VCU Health Tappahannock team welcomed hospital staff, medical staff, members of the Board and community members as they introduced the very latest advanced imaging technology to patients in the community.

Dr. Smith-Harrison joined hospital President Liz Martin in making remarks this morning. Special thanks also to Terri Self, our Nuclear Medicine Tech, and the entire radiology team for their work to get the new scanner successfully up and running.

“We’re proud to offer such an amazing unit to the community,” says Self. “I love seeing the reaction of patients who give us feedback about how open and spacious the unit feels; and the reaction from our radiologists who love the quality of the images. We’ve already seen patients from as far away as West Virginia and North Carolina, as well as so many patients right here in the Northern Neck.”
