This Thursday, all 24 localities across Virginia’s 5th Congressional District will conduct an election recount, determining the fate of incumbent Rep. Bob Good.
Although the race was close, it is rare that a recount changes an election outcome. If it doesn’t, Good will have to pay for the recount himself. While the total cost is not yet determined, it’s estimated to run about $100,000.
