RICHMOND – Virginia State Police is investigating a shooting that occurred at 10:23 am this morning, Thursday, October 30, 2025, in New Kent County.
Preliminary investigations show this to be an isolated incident, which occurred at 1701 Pocahontas Trail/Route 60 in Quinton.
The driver of the victim vehicle, a Hyundai Kona, was struck by a bullet and is currently in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. One other person has been detained.
The victim drove himself to a nearby Love’s truck stop in New Kent where he was then transported by ambulance to an area hospital.
The incident remains an active and open investigation.
