This special program will feature Emmy and Edward R. A native of Massachusetts and broadcast journalism graduate of Northeastern University, Greg McQuade moved south to Richmond and joined the WTVR-TV news staff as a political and military reporter in October 2020. Also a history buff, he produces a weekly segment called “Heroes Among Us,” about inspiring people – many of whom are and have been military veterans. He also serves as the news anchor of the “CBS6 Weekend Morning” program on Saturdays and Sundays and volunteers his spare time to serve as Master of Ceremonies for many charitable events around Central Virginia.
“We are especially excited to present this program highlighting Greg McQuade and his “Heroes Among Us” segments he has written and produced for CBS6 television for over two decades,” said Virginia War Memorial Director Dr. Clay Mountcastle. “We consider Greg a true friend of our veterans and practically a member of our Virginia War Memorial team as he is so often here doing research and filming his “Heroes Among Us” segments.”
