A Colonial Beach man has lost his life and another person was injured in a head-on collision on Route 3 at the King George-Westmoreland County line.
Virginia State Police report that a Dodge Ram truck traveling eastbound on Route 3 Monday evening crossed the center line and collided head-on with a Hyundai Sonata. The driver of the Hyundai, 34-year-old Anthony Ray Bullock-Brown was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the Hyundai sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
According to police, the driver of the Dodge Ram, a 32-year-old male from Warsaw, VA, was found to be intoxicated at the time of the crash. He was transported to Mary Washington Hospital for medical treatment and is faces charges of DUI and involuntary manslaughter.
Officials say that the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
