Virginia State Police report that the Virginia EMT killed when a dump truck collided with his ambulance Thursday morning in King and Queen County was identified as Jacob Bozeman.

The accident occurred shortly before 7, Thursday morning when a dump truck using a crossover turned in front of a VCU Health Tappahannock ambulance operated by two AMR employees.

“The ambulance was not responding to a call, and there were no patients in the vehicle.”

Another paramedic who was also in the ambulance, was taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries, as was the driver of the dump truck.

The crash happened near the intersection of Route 360 and Fleet Mill Road.

The crash remains under investigation.
