JERUSALEM — Gov. Glenn Youngkin and other Virginia officials on Tuesday condemned Iran’s launching of missiles into Israel, the latest in a series of escalating attacks in a yearslong conflict that threatens to push the Middle East closer toward a regionwide war. “We stand strong with Israel as it defends itself against these barbaric attacks by Iran. In this dark hour, we pray for the Jewish community,” the governor said in a social media post. Attorney General Jason Miyares also expressed solidarity: “Over 10 million people — men, women, and children — targeted indiscriminately by over 200 Iranian rockets,” he wrote. “Our hearts remain united behind Israel.”
