The 127th Holly Ball was celebrated last evening at Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club by the Tidewater Foundation.
The 2023 Queen is Miss Emma Clay Dameron. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Chadwick Dameron of Reedville. Miss Dameron is a graduate of Northumberland High School and is attending James Madison University.
The Orator for the event, Hillary Pugh Kent was chosen by reigning Queen Jessica Lynn Haynie of Reedville. Kent will begin her first term in the House of Delegates, District 67 in January.
The Holly Ball dates back to 1895.
