Seven people were killed over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, which is a decrease from last year. The data comes from a preliminary investigation by Virginia State Police and was gathered from Nov. 27 to Dec. 1.
In 2023, 11 people were killed on Virginia roadways; in 2022, 19 people were killed.
