The Tappahannock Essex Volunteer Department responded to a fire call around 5:30 Tuesday morning to a small business behind Builders First Source in Tappahannock.
A single story business that houses Jackson’s Auto and Mechanical Shop and Dave Greniers Building and Remodeling was destroyed.
Several vehicles and a RV were destroyed.
Fire Chief Paul Richardson said no injuries were reported and he believes that it was an accidental fire but he has called in the state fire marshall.
Fire crews from Richmond County and King & Queen county were called in to assist.
