On October 9, 2024, at approximately 4:19 AM, members of the Tappahannock Police Department responded to a burglary alarm at Atlantic Union Bank, located at 1649 Tappahannock Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers discovered significant damage to the ATM machine.
Further investigation revealed that an undisclosed amount of cash had been taken from the machine, and the suspects fled the scene. This incident is currently under active investigation by the Tappahannock Police Investigations Division, assisted by members of the Chesapeake Bay Task Force, and regional localities.
