Lancaster County Public Schools has reason to celebrate.
Lancaster is ranked 10th of 132 public school divisions in the Commonwealth in terms of overall student achievement gains, with a 4.93 percent increase in SOL scores.
That number also reflects an overall 13.85 percent gain in SOL scores at Lancaster High School, ranked 13th in the state.
According to the Virginia Department of Education website, the LHS math, science and English-reading test scores improved in 2023-24.
