39 recruits are enduring a rigorous 28-week training course. It consists of early morning, exercise and more than one-hundred different subjects and scenarios that teat and develop their strength, stamina, driving skills, knowledge of state laws, expertise with guns, defense tactics, investigations and other techniques.
The next Virginia State Police recruiting class will begin in January. Current openings include sworn officers, K-9, avation, search and recovery and more.
