Tappahannock Artists Guild (TAG) will be hosting a week-end long event to open the annual Holiday Show and Market, featuring smaller works by member artists that are a perfect size for giving as gifts.
TAG member artists have been working to create small works that will make perfect gifts for anyone on your list. Leslie Rennolds’s knitted cowls with handmade ceramic buttons, jingle bell earrings, and colorful hair adornments are perfect for the young and young-at-heart.
Liz Harper’s floral still life paintings are wonderful in a hallway or guest room – a wonderful host gift. Bob Fultz creates cutting boards, honey dippers, bowls and bracelets from carefully turned wood.
You may have seen Vicki Owen’s stained glass creations in the windows of TAG. She has created special stained glass ornaments to sell in the Holiday Market this year.
On Friday, November 29, the gallery will be decorated for the holidays and welcomes the public to come in between noon and 4 pm and enjoy cookies and cider while they shop. Give something special, unique, and handcrafted this holiday season and support local artists and the local economy.
On Saturday, November 30, the gallery will open from noon to 4pm for Small Business Saturday. On Sunday, December 1, the gallery will open from noon to 3pm for Artists Sunday, a national promotional event for the arts.
In December, the gallery will be open Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 4pm until December 21, when the gallery will close until January 31, 2025, when we will celebrate the new year with an opening by local artist and TAG member Ann Beverly Eubank.
