Some top Virginia elected officials on both sides of the political aisle expressed dismay on Monday over President Joe Biden’s decision to sign a pardon for his son, Hunter, who faced felony gun and tax evasion convictions.
President Biden had said repeatedly that he would not consider signing a pardon for his son.
Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va., a close Democratic ally, expressed his disapproval of the president’s reversal.
