Virginia State Police officials have been inundated with tips about drone activity in December and are reminding residents that it’s against state law to shoot at the unmanned aircraft.

A flurry of reports about mysterious devices across East Coast skies have popped up in recent weeks, touching off concerns about what the roaming flying objects are and where they originated.

U.S. Sens. Tim Kaine and Mark Warner and Gov. Glenn Youngkin on Thursday said they were not satisfied with answers they got from federal officials concerning drone sightings over Virginia.
