A Henrico County firefighter has been arrested for alleged possession of child pornography.
Brian Godfrey Martin, 43, of Mechanicsville, was taken into custody on Tuesday.
In July 2024, investigators with the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office received a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force about a person in Hanover County. After a thorough investigation, the sheriff’s office said Martin was identified as the suspect.
According to the chief, Martin was immediately suspended without pay.
Martin is being held at the Pamunkey Regional Jail. He is charged with possession of child pornography, possession of child pornography second or subsequent offense, distribution of child pornography, and distribution of child pornography second or subsequent offense.
