A woman from King William County died in a head-on collision Tuesday in Hanover County.
Deputies with the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office responded at 7:38 a.m. Tuesday to a crash involving two vehicles in the 14800 block of Verdon Road, which is in the Beaverdam area of the county.
The sheriff’s office said a preliminary investigation showed that a 2025 Subaru was heading west on Verdon Road when it crossed the double yellow line and hit an oncoming Toyota Tundra pickup truck.
The driver of the Subaru died at the scene. Authorities have identified the driver as Megan Michelle Fisher, 31, of King William. Two juveniles in the Subaru were taken to a local hospital with injuries that aren’t considered life-threatening.
