If you receive a call from anyone claiming to be a Deputy or other Representative of Essex County Sheriff’s Office, even if you are familiar with the name presented by the calling party, please be aware that it is potentially a spam call. Hang up and call the Essex County Sheriff’s office directly at (804) 443-3347. Do not return the call and above all, do not provide any personal or financial information over the phone.
