Local firefighters battled a fire just after midnight Monday night at Bevans Oyster Company in Kinsale.
The Cople District Volunteer Fire Department received assistance from fire departments from all Northern Neck localities as well as units from Stafford and Maryland. The structural fire was contained to only one building. Firefighters worked through the night and into the morning to protect other buildings. There were no injuries. A representative from Bevans Oyster Company stated they were thankful for the swift response from first responders and Dominion Energy. Bevans Oyster Company was able to continue operations Monday.
