Two Northern Neck men are recovering from gunshot wounds sustained over the weekend in what is now being described as a mass shooting.
“Police report that two men from Lancaster County who are identified only as an 18 year old and a 20 year old, were were among eight people who were injured when an altercation escalated into gunfire on Saturday night at the Virginia Beach waterfront. Media outlets report that police have arrested 18-year-old Jamaya Williams of Henrico, and that 18-year-old Isaiah Charity of Richmond turned himself in on Monday. Police are still seeking possible third shooter who has not been identified
Officials say that the victims suffered injuries ranging from non-life threatening to serious.
