Virginia Democrats on Tuesday praised the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision reaffirming birthright citizenship, calling it a constitutional protection that safeguards children born in the United States regardless of their parents’ immigration status.
Gov. Abigail Spanberger said the ruling reinforced a foundational promise of the Constitution.
