Gov. Glenn Youngkin says his budget proposal to cut income tax rates and raise the sales tax would help all Virginians, but low-income parents and their advocates say the opposite is true.
In a news conference Thursday organized by advocacy groups, parents of low-income families asserted that they would pay more under Youngkin’s proposal, while the wealthiest Virginia taxpayers would pay far less.
