Long before the U.S. Senate voted down the last hope of averting a federal government shutdown on Tuesday night, the political blame game began in Virginia.

Gov. Glenn Youngkin and Virginia Senate Republicans blamed Democrats for what he called “the Schumer Shutdown”.
